This is the perfect hardworking and dependable saw. The B&D got to hold to hold, the skill saw was a hassle to change the blades with a hex key. My son had one and after using his, I decided I needed one too. I tried skill, black and decker but this one is the best in my opinion. This is perfect and takes hard work in stride. Well worth the money.
I can't really elaborate much more on the Milwaukee Sawzalls beyond what has been said, but for professional use I highly suggest one of these over nearly all of the others (I haven't seen anyone really test the Hilti saws over a year or two, but they are a bit too heavy for continual use). I will say this - for a lot less money the Milwaukee beats the saw Makita just recently put out in as far as reliability.
Ipurchased a milwakee sawz all for my husband for fathers day. It was and at no cost to me the new one came within 24 hrs and was intac. When I received the saw the blades were missing. After a call to Amazon I was advised that an e mail with shipping instructions would be sent. The efficient way Amazon handled my transaction was super. I shall continue to use Amazon.
After reviewing previous reviews on this saw, I purchased it and I was glad I did,I feel I got my monies worth. The saw is sturdy, good quality built and it looks like it can be used of heavy work, mine was in the medium range. The saw is light enough that can be operated with ease at any speed - very easy to change the blade to cut up or down and or for replacement. I would recommend it to anyone interested in getting a reciprocating saw.
I was able to get through the older, studier, 2x6 framing with a new wood blade without any hesitation from the saw. This recip. 1/4 inch rebar with metal cutting blade - no problem. saw has done everything I have needed it to do. I am a younger home owner but very handy and living in an older home. My wife thought I was an idiot because I was so excited that I could cut through steel - but really. A very good item.
